The Walton Student Leadership Council (SLC) was formed in May, 2016 and is completely self-funded from the Delta Credit Union grant and its own fundraising.
Students are selected by an application process. The SLC has approximately 40 students who develop ideas to help the Foundation raise funds for their school.
The SLC organizes events that promote community and raise funds for charity.
SLC Application
The Student Leadership Council (SLC) is a club under the Foundation of Walton High School. We plan and host events that create lifelong memories for Walton’s students while fundraising for our school and community charities. In a typical year, SLC hosts the Homecoming Dance, Powder Puff, Grill Days, WEB pizza, Swishes for Wishes and CHOA’s Just for Kids event. We try to keep the membership to 35 -40 students so that each student can have meaningful leadership experiences. We focus on leadership characteristics, as well marketing and fundraising skills. Our members are required to commit 15 hours per semester which includes our meetings. If you are interested in joining SLC, please submit an application for consideration at the link below by April 23, 2021.
