2025 Study Skills Seminars

Walton Foundation invites rising high school students and current students to register for one of our study skills seminars to be held just prior to the start of the new school year. The sessions aim to improve studying methods and habits. Learning specialist and former teacher, Natalie Collins M.Ed. will help your student prepare for high school with guidance on note taking, organization and optimal utilization of class and study resources offered at Walton.

  • The seminars will take place in the Lecture Hall inside the Media Center. 
  • Cost is $55 per student registered. A parent MUST attend with the registered student.
  • Please note that there is limited space due to the size of the Lecture hall.
  •  Registration is not complete until payment is completed through the Paypal link. ***After you hit submit, a Paypal link will launch after 5 seconds***

Study Skills Seminar

Walton Foundation is hosting our annual Study Skill Seminars for rising high school students and current students who want to learn study habits to improve their performance at school. Participants will be guided by Learning Specialist and former teacher, Natalie Collins M.Ed., as she teaches you and your student how to take effective notes and to utilize class and study resources offered at Walton to be better organized and prepared for classes. 

  • The seminars will take place in the Lecture Hall inside the Media Center. 
  • Cost is $55 per student registered. 
  • Please note that there is limited space due to the size of the Lecture hall.

Walton Study Skills Seminar- October 16th, 2023

Due to the popularity of our Study Skills Seminar hosted before the start of school, the Foundation has decided to host another one for those students who were not able to make the first sessions!

Would you like your student to start the new school year organized and prepared for an excellent semester at Walton? You and your student should join us for one of our Study Skills Seminars.

You and your student will learn how to take effective notes and to utilize class and study resources offered at Walton to be better organized and prepared for his or her classes.

Learning Specialist and former teacher, Natalie Collins M.Ed., will be offering a 1.5 hour seminars in Walton’s Lecture Hall, which is in the Media Center.

Study Skills Seminar Times:
• Monday, October 16, 2023 from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

One parent must attend with his or her student so that you are also aware of the resources available and the various organizational systems that can benefit your student. The cost of the seminar is $50.00. We have a limited number of students and parents we can accommodate to ensure an effective program.

July 2023 Study Skills Seminars

One parent must attend with his or her student so that you are also aware of the resources available and the various organizational systems that can benefit your student. The cost of the seminar is $50.00. We have a limited number of students and parents we can accommodate to ensure an effective program so please complete the appropriate registration form below, soon.

Due to a family emergency, the Study Skills Seminars must be rescheduled as listed below:

  • Tuesday, July 26 rescheduled to Sunday, July 31 at 2:00 pm
  • Wednesday, July 27 rescheduled to Sunday, July 31 at 4:30 pm
