The main goal of the Walton High School Foundation is to raise money for teacher and staff salaries to supplement county funding, keeping class sizes smaller and meeting the needs of our school community. This year the Foundation is supporting two teachers, one of whom is social studies teacher Anna Baughman. Get to know more about her in this Q&A.

I went to College at Kennesaw State University
Why did you pursue a career in teaching?
I really wanted to find a career that allowed me to share my love for learning and curiosity. Teaching is a great way to do that, and it also allows me to connect with students and help them love learning as well. It’s a career where, even on the hardest days, there’s always something positive to hold onto, a student’s curious question, a coworker’s quick joke, or a small moment that reminds us why we chose this path.
What brought you to Walton High School?
