Teacher Spotlight: Mrs Foxhall

Mrs. Foxhall has been teaching for 10 years. She now teaches Algebra 1 and Geometry at Walton, but taught Honors Algebra 2, AP Statistics, and Geometry at South Forsyth High School, Grovetown High School, and Jackson Prep. She enjoys when her students ask questions and show interest in the subject. She chose to become a teacher because her mom was a teacher and her pre-calc teacher Mrs. Smith inspired her by explaining things so simply that it made math fun and easy. In her free time she likes playing with her two year old son and cooking.

Teacher Spotlight: Mr Mayer

Mr. Mayer has been a teacher for 3.5 years and is currently teaching/helping out with special education, small group world literature, co-taught world literature/British literature, and co-taught economics.  He is the head JV baseball coach and Varsity Assistant coach for football.  He decided he wanted to become a teacher to help students grow in their lives through many different outlets.  Some of his hobbies outside of teaching, include hiking, traveling, adventures with his fiancé and dogs and spending time with friends and family.

Teacher Spotlight: Mrs Hart

Mrs. Hart has been a teacher now for 13 years and is currently teaching Physics 92.  A fun fact about her was that she graduated from Walton.  She loves to see when kids finally understand something and the light just turns on in their brains.  Some of her favorite hobbies outside of teaching are Sewing, Krav Maga, going to OrangeTheory, and visiting national parks.

Teacher Spotlight: Mrs Boyle

Mrs. Boyle has been teaching for 6 years and currently teaches Spanish 1 & Spanish 2. In the past she has taught ISA Spanish 5th-8th at Wood Acres and Spanish 1-4 in high school. She attended Walton and grew up in East Cobb! She was inspired to start teaching by her fourth grade teacher Mrs. Mandell at Sope Creek. In her free time she enjoys coaching cross country at Walton, traveling, reading, spending time outside, watching sports (her favorite teams are the Gamecocks, Atlanta United, and the Patriots), and she also enjoys spending time with her family.
