SLC Encourages Faculty & Delivers Car Magnets
The Student Leadership Council (SLC) has begun meeting, planning, and working. They have had to change how and what they do this fall, but they’re using their creativity and initiative to have an impact on our community during these difficult times. One of their first projects was to create signs of encouragement to place around our school and East Cobb. Below are just a few of the signs that can be found around Walton that celebrate our staff.
They also volunteered to drive around East Cobb delivering magnets to the Foundation’s donors. That meant delivering almost 300 magnets to members who have already donated at the Bronze level to the Foundation.

The New 20-21 Foundation Car Magnets Are Coming!
Donors, please watch for your 20-21 Foundation car magnets to start appearing in your mailboxes starting Sept 8th. We are thrilled that the Student Leadership Council (SLC) has agreed to deliver them.
Please proudly celebrate your support of the Foundation and all things Walton by placing your magnet on your car. Hopefully, with all of these reminders driving around our streets, it will entice more people to donate.
Donors who donated $250 or more from May 21, 2020 through the end of the school year will receive a 20-21 car magnet.
Thank you to all who have donated to the Foundation, we really appreciate your support!

Volunteer Opportunities!
Would you like to be more involved at Walton High School? The Walton High School Foundation needs volunteers! There are positions open for parents that have time during the day and those that would prefer to help in the evening.
The following Committee Chair positions are open:
- Magnets: Coordinate the delivery of magnets periodically as donations are received throughout the year.
- Mailbox Ribbons: Coordinate the making and delivering of the blue mailbox bows that are placed on donors mailboxes during the capital campaign during the second semester.
- Name a Classroom: Coordinate to ensure that the Classroom Name plaques have the correct information, are produced and hung in the correct place. This is not a frequent job, but an important one.
- Social Media: Post ads to the Foundation’s three social media accounts: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
We can always use help, so if there is another area for which you are interested, please contact us.
Thank you!
