The 2025-2026 Capital Campaign

The Walton Foundation Capital Campaign is underway! Our annual campaign seeks community support for investment in student outcomes by helping to reduce class sizes through staff hires. We hope to raise $175,000 in our campaign to cover the cost off at least a 1.5 FTE each calendar year.

Your contribution is valued at any level. The Foundation does extend its major perks for donations at or above $250. Donors at this level will receive invitations to quarterly Principal coffee chats. The first chat, held in October, was well-attended. Donate now to be included in the remaining three Coffee Chats this school year. Donors at this level in the Capital Campaign will also receive a blue mailbox bow! Donations must be made by December 1st to receive the bow.

 Donor Perks are illustrated here.

All families who donate to the Walton Foundation receive the 2025-2026 car magnet – no matter the dollar amount.

Already given this fall? Thank you. And check your student’s backpack for the new car magnet which is distributed in homerooms once you give to the 2025-2026 campaign.

Contact the Walton High School Foundation for more information or donate now!

Donor Perk Alert: Coffee Chat with the Principal

As a thanks to our generous donors, we extend several donor perks in each annual campaign. Our quarterly coffee chats with the principal are a wonderful opportunity to experience the Walton community! These chats offer a small group meet and greet with our principal! Dr. Santoro presents updates on upcoming events and invites questions from parents. All donors who contribute $250 or more will receive invitations to the quarterly coffee chats, so consider donating today!.

The power of the corporate match

The Walton High School Foundation is a 501(c)(3) which means your donations to the capital campaign are tax deductible. Also, many community employers offer corporate matching to employee charity donations. This is an easy way to double or even triple your donation, and the corporate match counts toward the family donation total! Please contact your employer to determine if they offer corporate matching. Feel free to contact us if you have questions. In the 2025-2026 campaign, corporate matching from AIG, Microsoft, Norfolk Southern and McKinsey is underway! The following area companies have offered corporate matching in prior years:

  • AT&T
  • Ciena
  • Coca-Cola
  • Colonial Pipeline
  • Experian
  • Home Depot
  • McKinsey & Company
  • Microsoft
  • Oracle
  • Prudential Financial
  • Quest Diagnostics
  • State Street
  • Truist
  • Voya Financial
  • Vulcan Materials Company
  • Warner Media

Ready, set, BOW!

The Walton Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization with a primary mission to reduce class sizes by supporting staffing needs. Each year, the Foundation gears up for its capital campaign to raise the funds needed to support additional campus hires. It is a big lift! The campaign also celebrates Walton Raider donor spirit in the community. Donors at any level receive a WHSF magnet, and donors at the $250 level or higher receive a mailbox bow. Senior class donors will receive a special mailbox ribbon! Help us paint the town the Walton Raider Valley blue!

The Walton Foundation is grateful to its student volunteers through the Student Leadership Council. Bow production is an in-house effort! We also recognize the stewardship of our committee chair, Jennifer Sunderland, our parent coordinator who initiated project planning in July to ensure a beautiful community display!

Foundation Spotlight: Ashley Nickell

This year the Walton High School Foundation is pleased to support the salaries of two staff members. Ashley Nickell is Walton’s newest English teacher, and a Walton graduate. Let her introduce herself:

“My name is Ashley Nickell. Having earned my college degree in marketing and management and working in the recruiting technology field, I pursued my passion for teaching earning my Masters in the Art of Teaching and a secondary Bachelor of Arts in English. I have been teaching high school English for the past 11 years, most recently teaching in South Forsyth High School. I love helping students gain more analytical skills and improving their writing techniques. I look forward to creating strong students on the 9th and 10th grade English teams. I am so excited to be a Raider (again) as my husband and I both graduated from Walton High School!”
