 Powder Puff Is BACK!

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?

All our football fans won’t want to miss the opportunity to see the Powder Puff games  on Friday, October 4th in Raider Valley when our Walton girls take the field.  The first game begins at 5:30 p.m. with the Seniors taking on the Freshman.  These are the first Walton Powder Puff games since 2015.  It is sure to be a wonderful night with great games on the field and some terrific cheering by the Walton Football players.  The cheer squads will be rooting for their grade level teams.  And, we have a Powder Puff Court that will be presented that night with their faculty escorts.  We are challenging each grade to show their support for their grade level team by donning the same color that night.  Which grade will be the Powder Puff Champion?  Which team will have the most fans in the stands?  Below is a list of the colors that represent each team:

·         Seniors will be wearing pink
·         Juniors will be in blue
·         Sophomores will be in black
·         Freshman will be in red

It’s going to be a great night of fun.  Proceeds from the evening will go back to the Touchdown Club and Student Leadership Council is raising funds to replace the championship banners in the new gym.  Please support our students by joining us on October 4th.  And, plan on having dinner with us!  SLC will be grilling and there will be other snacks and food items in the concession stands.  You can buy your tickets in advance by clicking here.   Tickets purchased online can be picked up outside the dining hall during the week of October 30th, 2019.  Tickets will also be on sale during lunch periods during the week of the game.

PLAYER INFORMATION

Player Registration – Players are selected on a first come, first serve basis. Forms must be submitted on August 22nd by 8:00 am.  We will be in the front lobby/atrium accepting forms.

*Registration forms are available in the Media Center until August 21st..

*Complete both the registration form and the insurance form. A parent/legal guardian must sign insurance form.
*Write a check for $20 payable to Walton High School Foundation or bring $20 in cash in a sealed envelope when you turn in your forms on 8/22.
*Each grade level team can have up to 30 players.

*Completed rosters will be posted on the Bulletin Board on the First Floor across from the restrooms.

Player Requirements:
Uniform: Black leggings or shorts shorts are acceptable, socks, athletic shoes
Powder Puff t-shirts: Seniors – Black

Juniors - Blue

Sophomores – Red

Freshman - Grey

Equipment: Mouthpiece REQUIRED (no exceptions), will be checked at the mandatory practice Thursday, November 29th, and before the game.

Practices (1x per week) are scheduled by the captains and coaches of each team.  If you do not attend practices, you will not be able to play the night of the game. Captains are to keep Mrs. Winokur informed as to practice dates/times/locations.

5:30pm - Game #1 – Seniors vs. Freshmen

6:30pm  – Presentation of the King and his Court
                                 Cheerleading competition
7:00 pm (approx.) – Game #3 – Consolation match
                                 Game #4 – Winners’ Game
